My garments and accessories are created from items I have collected and cleaned from the coastline of the Isle of Sheppey.
Lila-Rose Upcycle has evolved from my love of experimenting and combining textile techniques with a passion for up-cycling to create unique ethical clothing and accessories from reclaimed materials.

By combing textile techniques and embellishing reclaimed materials on to upcycled garments I create underwater landscapes inspired by coral reefs and shells.
I crochet shell-inspired accessories from washed up fishing rope, nets and line and create Plarn by cutting plastic bags into loops and joining them together into a continuous strip to make a yarn material that is surprisingly strong and versatile.
My patterns combine my passion of textile techniques with recycling.
There is a selection of adult, children and various styles of bag patterns with a combination of knitting and crochet stiches with ideas and inspiration of using a variety of reclaimed materials to create yarn and wool.
